Clay Brick
Description
Clay bricks are made of 50% soft clay and 50% hard clay clinker, which are batched according to certain particle size requirements. After molding and drying, they are fired at a high temperature of 1300~1400℃. Fireclay bricks are weakly acidic refractory products, which can resist the erosion of acidic slag and acid gas, and have a slightly weaker resistance to alkaline substances, good thermal performance, and resistance to rapid cold and heat
Fireclay bricks are one of the main varieties of silica-alumina series products. They are refractory products with 30-48% Al2O3 content made of clay clinker as aggregate and refractory clay as binder.
In China's clay bricks, the Al2O3 content is generally more than 40%, and the Fe2O3 content is less than 2.0 to 2.5%. The clinker in the ingredients is 65-85%, and the combined clay is 35-15%. The crushed combined clay and the finely ground clinker are mixed and ground, and then mixed with the granular clinker to prepare a semi-dry mud, which is molded under high pressure and fired at about 1400°C with better performance. Fireclay bricks are weakly acidic at high temperatures, and their ability to resist alkaline slag erosion is slightly worse, but it increases with the increase of Al2O3 content. The thermal stability is better than silica bricks and magnesia bricks.
Features
Good high temperature fire resistance under load / Low thermal expansion at high temperatures
Lower impurity content / Good thermal shock resistance
Excellent slag and abrasion resistance / Good cold press strength
Application
Clay bricks are mainly used in thermal boilers, glass kilns, cement kilns, fertilizer gas furnaces, blast furnaces, hot blast furnaces, coking furnaces, electric furnaces, bricks for casting and pouring steel, etc.
