Description
Plastic castable is a type of unshaped refractory, a refractory made of 70% to 80% granular and powdery materials, 10% to 25% of plastic clay and other binders, and an appropriate amount of plasticizer.
At high temperatures, It has good sinterability, some volume stability, and other high temperature qualities. It can be formed into blocks and flakes. During construction, certain bonding agents can also be introduced. A dense liner and structure can be created after baking the mixture, which is crushed or rammed while in use.
The majority of heating furnaces that do not come into direct contact with molten material employ plastic castable. Clay and high aluminum make up the majority of the materials, along with silicon, magnesia, chromium, zircon, and silicon carbide.
