Detailed Introduction To The Properties And Uses Of Fused Cast Zirconia Corundum Bricks

fused-cast zirconium corundum bricks

fused cast zirconia corundum bricks are made of high-quality purified raw materials, using a special electric arc furnace and a long-arc melting and oxidation process. This process has almost no pollution from the electrode. Due to the oxidation casting process and the use of high-purity raw materials, the series of fused cast zirconium corundum products we produce have excellent resistance to the erosion of glass liquid and have minimal pollution to the glass liquid.

According to different ZrO2 contents, fused cast zirconia corundum products are divided into three types: 41# zirconia corundum bricks, 36# zirconium corundum bricks and 33# zirconium corundum bricks. In addition, based on the manufacturing process of AZS36 and AZS33, the contents of the corresponding chemical components of Si02 and Na2O are reduced, and two products, 36# low silicon low sodium zirconium corundum brick and 33# low silicon low sodium zirconium corundum brick are formed. These five products are further classified according to different casting methods, which can meet the different use requirements of the melting and casting series products in glass furnaces.

The main reasons why fused zirconia corundum bricks have good resistance to glass liquid erosion:
① The main crystal phases in zirconium corundum bricks are corundum and baddeleyite that coexist closely. Both crystal phases have good corrosion resistance.
② The glass phase in the zirconium corundum brick is filled between the above crystal phases. This glass phase is eroded by high temperature to form albite glass with extremely high viscosity. Because a certain amount of ZrO2 is melted in it, the viscosity is higher. This layer is high. The viscous glass remains on the surface of the brick and is not easy to spread, thus protecting the brick body.
Due to the above advantages, fused cast zirconia corundum bricks are not only used in high-temperature, severely corroded areas in contact with glass liquid, but are also widely used in the superstructure of glass melting furnaces.

1. Cast 41# zirconia corundum brick;
AZS41 is the highest-grade oxidation method fused cast zirconia corundum brick, which has the highest resistance to glass liquid corrosion and outstanding low pollution to glass liquid. It is suitable for parts of glass furnaces that require particularly high corrosion resistance, such as all-electric melting furnaces, liquid tunnels, kiln sills, bubbling bricks, corner bricks at the feeding port, etc.

2. Cast 36# zirconia corundum brick;
AZS36 is a standard oxidation method fused-cast zirconia corundum bricks, which has the characteristics of particularly high resistance to glass liquid erosion and low contamination of glass liquid, and the performance of these two aspects is balanced. It is suitable for parts in glass furnaces that are in direct contact with the glass liquid, such as melting pool wall tiles, pavement tiles and feeding ports.
3. Cast 33# zirconium corundum brick;
AZS33 has particularly excellent performance in preventing contamination of glass liquid. It has a very small tendency to cause stones, bubbles and matrix glass phase precipitation in the glass. It is suitable for the upper structure of the melting pool, the wall tiles of the working pool, the pavement tiles and the forehearth, etc.
