Factors affecting the service life of ceramic fiber blanket
1. Damage of mechanical stress
Thermal expansion squeezes refractory bricks
When the temperature of the kiln rises to a certain level, thermal expansion will generate pressure in the axial direction of the kiln, causing adjacent refractory bricks to squeeze each other. When the pressure is greater than the strength of the refractory brick, the surface of the refractory brick will peel off.
2. Thermal damage
(1) Overheating. Local overheating of the temperature in the kiln causes the refractory bricks to melt and form pits. In order to avoid this situation, the burner should be adjusted correctly and reasonable refractory materials should be selected in different parts.
(2) The phenomenon of thermal shock, the brick surface peeling and cracking due to the thermal stress caused by the sudden temperature change, is mainly caused by the extreme cold and extreme heat caused by frequent start and stop. The production operation should be stabilized, and a reasonable heating and cold kiln system should be formulated.
(3) Chemical corrosion damage
①Alkali erosion, gas-phase alkali salt compounds penetrate into the voids of the brick body to condense and solidify, forming a horizontal permeable layer of alkali salt in the brick body, and the alkali salt content in the kiln should be reduced during production.
②Chromium corrosion. Under excessive alkali salt corrosion, chromium ore and free (K, Na)2O will generate K2(Na2Cr6). The hexavalent alkali chromate produced by the chemical reaction will not only damage the bricks, but also pollute the environment. And seriously toxic to health, so the use of magnesia-chrome bricks should be reduced and stopped, and replaced with magnesia-aluminum spinel, magnesia-iron spinel, dolomite bricks, etc.
③Hydration phenomenon: MgO reacts with water to generate Mg(OH)2, which increases in volume and destroys the overall structure of refractory insulation material ceramic fiber felt and other furnace linings. Because refractory bricks containing MgO and CaO will have a hydration reaction, it is necessary to ensure that refractory bricks are stored, transported and built to avoid moisture, water and rain. To
1. Main production methods of ceramic fiber
The melting of ceramic fiber raw materials generally uses electric furnaces as melting equipment, and there are mainly two types of resistance furnaces and electric arc furnaces. Fiber forming methods are divided into blowing method, spinning method and spinning-injection method.
2. Ceramic fiber process
Arc jet blowing into fiber, wet felt making process:
The raw materials are melted in the electric arc furnace to form a stream. The stream is blown by compressed air or steam to become fibers. After the slag remover is used to remove the slag, the cotton is collected to form the finished fiber. The finished fiber is sent to the stirring tank to vortex and remove slag, and then sent to the storage tank, where the adhesive is applied to form a slurry. The slurry is molded by a press or filtered by vacuum suction and dried to form a finished ceramic fiber cotton product.
3. The technological process of “acupuncture blanket”
The “needling blanket” is developed based on the non-woven needling process technology. When the loose fiber blanks are sent to the needle punching machine for needling, the fiber layers are closely intertwined due to the hook stitches on the needles to improve the resistance of the ceramic fiber blanket. Tensile strength and wind erosion resistance.
