200 tons of low porosity clay bricks are packed for delivering to our customer in Saudi.
Clay bricks with porosity less than 18% are low porosity clay bricks. There are 16%, 12%, 15%, and 10% types. The lower the pores, the more expensive the price.
What are its characteristics? High strength, high refractoriness, strong compactness, low pores, and good thermal shock stability. Mostly used in corrosive parts, because of its anti-stripping characteristics, more used in the regenerator of the glass furnace.
Its production process is not complicated. On the basis of the traditional clay brick technology, it is made by adding scorched gemstones, sintered clay and other ingredients into the raw materials in a reasonable ratio through high-pressure molding and high-temperature sintering, but the sintering temperature is higher than that of clay bricks. It should be about 30°C higher.
The thermal properties of clay bricks are resistant to rapid cooling and heating, but low-porosity clay bricks are resistant to rapid cooling and heating, as well as corrosion, especially acid corrosion. The strength and slag resistance of clay bricks are not as good as that of low-porosity clay bricks, and their product prices are also much higher than ordinary clay bricks.
The porosity of the clay conversion is generally 24-26%, while the low-porosity clay bricks are mostly used between 12-16%, and the porosity is -10%. However, due to the high price, it is particularly serious in special cases. Only use the 10% porosity for the part.
Its low porosity is mainly adjusted by the scorched gemstone. After adding the scorched gemstone, it is dense, and its strength and corrosion resistance are several times that of ordinary clay bricks. Its firing and production process is the same as that of clay bricks, but the sintering temperature is high, the raw material matrix changes greatly, and the corrosion resistance, thermal shock resistance and strength are stronger than clay bricks.
