Ceramic fiber bulk, also known as aluminum silicate fiber cotton or aluminum silicate cotton, is a new type of refractory insulation material. The cotton-like is ceramic fiber loose cotton, and the felt-like is ceramic fiber blanket. Ceramic fiber cotton is classified according to the refractory temperature: ordinary type 1050, standard type 1260, high-purity type 1260, high-aluminum type 1400, zirconium-aluminum type 1400, Containing zirconium type 1400. The long-term working temperature of ceramic fiber cotton is 950℃～1280℃. Actual use temperature -50℃ ～1280℃
It is a relatively small thermal insulation material in thermal insulation cotton, but it also has efficient insulation, light weight, high strength, oxidation resistance, low thermal conductivity, good flexibility, corrosion resistance, low heat fusion and sound insulation Features.
Raw materials such as high-purity clay clinker, alumina, silica powder, and chromite are melted at high temperature in industrial aluminum to form a fluid. Then use compressed air injection or spin spinning machine to spin the filament into a fiber shape, which is formed by collecting cotton through a cotton collector. It can be further processed into fiber blankets, cardboard, rope cloth and other products.

Glass fiber wool is a kind of thermal insulation material, the maximum use temperature does not exceed 500 ℃, glass fiber ultra-fine silk wool is generally used at a temperature of about 300 ℃, yellow, with glue, low price, often used for low temperature insulation and wall insulation. The use temperature of fiberglass mat is about 400℃, white, no glue, some fiberglass mat is covered with a layer of aluminum foil (gas barrier, anti-radiation), mainly used for insulation of low-temperature pipeline equipment.
Which of the ceramic fiber bulk and glass fiber cotton has the best thermal insulation effect?
At low temperatures, generally below 150°C, glass fiber and ceramic fiber have similar thermal insulation effects because their thermal conductivity is basically the same.
When the temperature is high, the thermal conductivity of ceramic fiber cotton is relatively low, the ability to hinder heat transfer is strong, and the heat preservation effect is better. Of course, when the temperature exceeds 400 ℃, you can only choose ceramic fiber materials.
