Aluminum silicate ceramic fiber blankets can generally be divided into two types: spun silk blankets and blown blankets. The aluminum silicate ceramic fibers used in the spun silk blankets are thicker and longer than those of the blown blankets, so the spun silk blankets have higher tensile and flexural strength than the blown blankets, and are suitable for thermal insulation environments with higher requirements for flexural and tensile properties.
The aluminum silicate ceramic fibers of the blown blankets are thinner than those of the spun silk blankets, so they are inferior to the spun silk blankets in terms of tensile and flexural properties. However, the thermal conductivity of the blown blankets is better, and they are suitable for environments with low requirements for the tear resistance of the aluminum silicate ceramic fiber blankets, but higher requirements for thermal insulation properties.
