Jm23/Jm26/Jm28/Jm30 in lightweight mullite bricks represent brick numbers of different grades. Lightweight mullite insulating bricks of different grades will differ in insulation performance, physical and chemical indicators and scope of application. So, what are the specific differences between them?
1. Different Al2O3 content
The alumina content of lightweight mullite insulation bricks varies. The alumina content of JM23 is between 38-44%, the alumina content of JM26 is between 50-58%, the alumina content of JM28 is between 65-70%, and the alumina content of JM30 is between 70-73%. It can be seen that the higher the grade, the higher the alumina content, which will also affect its thermal insulation performance and refractoriness.
2. Different refractoriness
The refractoriness of the four grades of lightweight mullite bricks is also different. The refractoriness of JM23 is 1350℃, the refractoriness of JM26 is 1430℃, the refractoriness of JM28 is 1540℃, and the refractoriness of JM30 is 1600℃. It can be seen that the higher the grade, the higher the refractoriness, which means the better the stability in high temperature environment.
3. Different volume density
The volume density of JM23 is 0.6g/cm3, the volume density of JM26 and JM28 is the same, both 0.8g/cm3, and the volume density of JM30 is 1g/cm3. The volume density will affect the weight and thermal insulation performance of the brick. Generally speaking, the greater the volume density, the heavier the brick and the better the thermal insulation performance.
4. Different room temperature compressive strength
The room temperature compressive strength of lightweight mullite insulation bricks is also different. The room temperature compressive strength of JM23 is 1.3Mpa, the room temperature compressive strength of JM26 is 2Mpa, the room temperature compressive strength of JM28 is 3Mpa, and the room temperature compressive strength of JM30 is 3.5Mpa. It can be seen that the higher the level, the higher the room temperature compressive strength, which means that the load-bearing capacity and service life of the brick will also increase accordingly.
In addition to the above common differences, they may also differ in thermal conductivity, reburning line change rate, etc. These indicators reflect the thermal conductivity and stability of the material, and selection can be made based on detailed physical and chemical indicators.
