The furnace bottom leveling material and filling material may be the same type of refractory castable, or they may not be the same type, because some filling materials are aggregates and powder that are directly dry-sprinkled into the joints of refractory bricks. And some are filled with castables and stirred into the gaps between refractory bricks.

1. High-aluminum castables for furnace bottom leveling materials
Currently, there are many castables on the market that use the same type of castable, but the aggregate particles cannot be too large, because the aggregate particles are too large to be filled in during filling, and are generally controlled at 0-6 particles. The furnace bottom leveling material is made of high-aluminum castables or refractory concrete.
2. The same material castable can be used
If high-aluminum castables are used, refractory castables of the same material can be used.
However, if there is no furnace bottom leveling material but only filler, 0-6 aggregate particles can also be used to make high-aluminum castables combined with high-alumina cement. It can also be made into different grades according to the temperature of the layer where the refractory bricks are used, and the castables can be made to adapt to the temperature of the working layer. After adding water and stirring, it is filled into the gaps of the working refractory bricks to increase the air tightness of the furnace lining and slow down the heat dissipation of the temperature inside the furnace. In this way, fuel is saved and the temperature outside the furnace is relatively low. At the same time, it also saves production costs.
3. Can be made into the same castable
If the furnace bottom leveling and refractory brick filling are used at the same time, the same refractory castable can be made, that is, the furnace bottom leveling is done, and the gaps between the refractory bricks are filled. The reason is that during construction, there is no need to exchange castables back and forth, and the temperature of the same furnace lining only changes slightly. If the same type of castable is used, the construction is convenient, and it also prevents the aura of different castables from being different.
Therefore, the filling material of the leveling material is not absolute, but depends on the use temperature and different gas fields of different furnace linings to determine the material and grade of refractory castables. You can use the same type, or you can use castables of the same material but different grades.
