Corundum Brick
MOQ:5 tons
Description
Corundum brick has high compressive strength at room temperature (up to 340MPa), high load softening start temperature (more than 1700℃), good chemical stability, and strong resistance to acidic or alkaline slag, metal and molten glass, etc. Thermal shock stability is related to its structure, and the corrosion resistance of dense products is good. There are two types of sintered and fused. Sintered alumina and fused corundum can be used as raw materials, or bauxite clinker with high Al2O3/SiO2 ratio can be combined with sintered alumina and made by sintering method. Phosphoric acid or other bonding agents can also be used to make non-fired corundum brick.
Features
Corundum bricks are primarily composed of high-purity alumina, typically with an alumina content of 90% or higher. Other additives such as silicon carbide or silicon dioxide may be included to enhance specific properties. They have a dense and uniform structure, high melting point, and excellent mechanical and thermal stability.
Corundum bricks can withstand extremely high temperatures, typically up to 1800°C (3272°F) or even higher in certain grades. They exhibit excellent thermal stability and can maintain their strength and structural integrity under prolonged exposure to high temperatures. This makes them suitable for applications in furnaces, kilns, and other high-temperature equipment.
Corundum bricks have excellent resistance to chemical attack and corrosion from molten metals, slags, and acids. They can withstand the erosive effects of hot gases and liquids, making them ideal for environments where chemical reactions or aggressive substances are present.

Application
Corundum brick is widely used in high-temperature applications that require excellent thermal and chemical resistance. It is known for its exceptional strength, abrasion resistance, and resistance to corrosion and erosion. It finds extensive use in industries such as steel, cement, glass, and petrochemicals.
