Cordierite Board
Products Description
Cordierite board mainly consists of cordierite powder and mullite as the main components. Cordierite is an igneous rock rich in magnesium silicate, and its main mineral composition includes cordierite minerals, hard rock minerals and garnet. In addition to cordierite powder, a certain proportion of binders, such as silicate glue, high alumina cement, etc., will be added during the preparation of refractory cordierite mullite slabs.
Features
High temperature resistance: Cordierite board can withstand extremely high temperatures, and can usually be used in high temperature environments above 1500 degrees Celsius, with good fire resistance.
Chemical corrosion resistance: Refractory cordierite slab has good corrosion resistance to various chemical substances, and can be used stably for a long time in corrosive media such as acid and alkali.
Wear resistance: The material has good wear resistance and can effectively resist damage caused by abrasion and thermal shock.
Application
Metallurgical industry: Refractory Cordierite board is widely used in metallurgical furnace, melting furnace, converter, electric furnace and other high temperature smelting equipment lining and insulation layer, can effectively isolate high temperature and chemical reaction products, protect the furnace structure.
Oil refining and chemical industry: Cordierite can be used as a refractory to protect equipment from high temperature and corrosion in petroleum heating furnaces, distillation towers, catalytic cracking units and other high temperature equipment in refineries and chemical plants.
Electric power industry: Cordierite can be used for insulation and refractory lining to provide reliable protection in high temperature equipment such as boilers and chimneys in power stations and combustion chambers in coal-fired power plants.
Environmental protection industry: Cordierite slab can also be used in waste incinerators, waste heat boilers and other environmental protection equipment, withstand high temperature and corrosion environment, reduce pollution to the environment.
