As the technology of hot blast furnaces becomes more and more mature, the requirements for refractory bricks in hot blast furnaces are becoming more and more stringent, especially in the high-temperature area. The temperature in the furnace is as high as about 1300℃. Therefore, for example, the upper part of the regenerator and the combustion chamber are most susceptible to erosion by high-temperature gas, which makes them more susceptible to damage, directly affecting the use effect and life of the hot blast furnace. Therefore, the development of long-life hot blast furnace refractory fire bricks has become the goal of the joint efforts of experts and scholars in the refractory industry. In actual engineering operations, there are many types of fire refractory bricks used in hot blast furnace masonry, as shown below:

Low creep series This series of refractory bricks are mainly low creep high alumina bricks and low creep clay bricks used in hot blast furnaces. 1) Low creep clay bricks for hot blast furnaces are made of high-quality clay clinker as the main raw material, formed by high pressure and sintered at high temperature. The product has a high load softening temperature, good resistance to medium temperature creep, and good impact resistance. It is the main refractory material for the low and medium temperature parts of hot blast furnaces. 2) Low creep high alumina bricks are high-grade refractory materials made of special grade bauxite, fused corundum and fused mullite as the main raw materials. The products have the characteristics of high refractoriness, high load softening temperature and strong slag resistance.
Silica bricks for hot blast furnaces Silica bricks for hot blast furnaces are siliceous refractory products with tridymite as the main crystal phase. They are mainly built in the high temperature parts of blast furnace hot blast furnaces. Hot blast furnace silica bricks have hot spots such as stable volume, low creep, good thermal shock resistance and good chemical corrosion resistance.
Andalusite bricks for hot blast furnaces Andalusite bricks for hot blast furnaces are high-grade refractory bricks among silicon-aluminum refractory materials, which have very good thermal shock stability and creep resistance. They are mainly used in key parts such as hot blast outlets and hot blast furnace doors.
High-aluminum insulation bricks for hot blast furnaces High-aluminum insulation bricks are manufactured using the foam production process. They have the advantages of low volume density, high compressive strength, high load softening, small dimensional tolerance, and excellent thermal stability. They can effectively improve thermal efficiency, reduce energy consumption, improve working conditions, and improve production efficiency, and achieve considerable economic benefits. They are mainly used in the insulation layer of hot blast furnaces. According to the actual working conditions of various parts of the hot blast furnace, choosing the right refractory brick variety is a very effective way to extend the service life of the hot blast furnace.
