Which Is Easier To Achieve, The Aluminum Content Or The Bulk Density Of High Alumina Bricks?

In the production of high alumina bricks, the aluminum content is relatively easy to achieve, while the bulk density is relatively difficult to achieve. High-alumina bricks are products with a relatively large amount of consumption in refractory shaped products, just like clay bricks. They belong to the medium and low-grade series of refractory bricks.

1. The difference between high alumina refractory fire bricks and clay bricks

In the production of high-alumina bricks and clay bricks, high-alumina bricks are easier to produce than clay bricks because the higher the grade of the raw materials, the fewer impurities. It is difficult to control the impurities. The production of high-alumina materials is relatively easier to control than clay materials. In the production process of high-alumina refractory bricks, it is basically the same as clay bricks. The difference is that the sintering temperature is different. The sintering temperature of high-alumina bricks is 80-100℃ higher than that of clay bricks. It is just that the compressive strength and load softening temperature of high-alumina bricks are higher than those of clay bricks.

2. The aluminum content of high-aluminum bricks cannot be measured by price

The aluminum content of both high alumina bricks and clay bricks is relatively easy to achieve. The national standard for the aluminum content of clay bricks is 42, but basically all of them are 55. The aluminum content of high-alumina refractory bricks is also easy to achieve. The volume density above 2.5 is not easy to achieve. If you can make it, it can be made, but the price will be several hundred yuan higher for every half point increase. Therefore, the aluminum content of high-alumina bricks or clay bricks cannot be measured by price. The key is the volume density. If the volume density is high, the price will differ by hundreds or even thousands of yuan for the same aluminum content.

3. What is not reasonable is the price comparison
Some manufacturers only compare the price of high-alumina bricks and refractory bricks based on the aluminum content. In fact, this is an unreasonable way of comparison. In this way, the price will be quite different, the volume density will be different, and of course, the strength will be different.

4. Price difference
There are many grades of high alumina bricks. Even bricks with the same aluminum content have three to five different prices. The price difference lies in the indicators of volume density, load softening temperature, and room temperature strength.
