Brown Corundum

Brown corundum, also known as emery, is made of bauxite, carbon material and iron dust after melting reduction in the arc furnace and brown Aluminum Oxide, the main chemical composition is AL2O3, its content is 95.00%-97.00%. And according to the ingredients of alumina, it is divided into different levels. Abrasive Brown Fused Alumina with good bauxite as raw material, and anthracite, iron filings in the arc by 2000℃ above high temperature smelting, grinding and shaping, magnetic separation iron, screen into a variety of granularity, its dense texture, high hardness, particle formation ball, suitable for manufacturing ceramics, resin high with abrasive tools and grinding, polishing, sandblasting, precision casting, etc., can also be used to manufacture refractory materials.

Brown fused alumina also has high charge softening temperature and high temperature volume stability when manufacturing products. However, the impurity of BFA determines the storage life of the product in the process of use. Because impurities have not been completely removed in the casting process, brown fused alumina also contains secondary crystalline phases. Broadly speaking, the casting process and time of brown corundum determine the performance and quality of the product.
