Zirconia Hollow Ball Brick

Zirconia hollow ball brick is a heat-insulating refractory material comprised primarily of zirconia hollow balls. The bulk density is 2.5 to 3.0g/cm3, the apparent porosity is 55% to 60%, the compressive strength is not less than 4.9MPa, and the thermal conductivity is 0.23 to 0.35 w/(m K). The refractoriness is larger than 2400°C. It is a hollow zirconia sphere that was created by shaping and burning.

Product Introduction
Products Description

A pressurized vibration molding machine is used to create zirconia hollow ball bricks from zirconia hollow balls (65% to 70%) and zirconia fine powder (30% to 35%) as raw materials, together with boric acid aqueous solution as a binder. After drying, the prepared adobe is shaped and fired at 1700–1800°C. Its manufacturing process is identical to that of alumina hollow spheres, with the exception that its melting point is greater, exceeding 2700°C.

Products Feature

Zirconia hollow ball bricks can tolerate pressure and impact in hot settings and have a high strength. It is frequently utilized in high temperature industrial areas thanks to its good mechanical qualities. Additionally, it has exceptional fire resistance and can continue to operate effectively in hot settings. Due to its high melting point, low thermal expansion coefficient, and superior thermal shock resistance, it is crucial in the production of high-temperature furnaces.
Zirconia hollow ball bricks can retain steady performance in high temperature environments by fending off chemical deterioration. This increases its dependability for usage in harsh settings and the chemical industry. Zirconia hollow spherical bricks' basic components are simple to process.

Products Process

Zirconia is utilized as a starting material in the manufacturing process, thickener is calcium hydroxide (or yttrium oxide, magnesium oxide), and melt is created through methods including uniform mixing and electrical isolation. Zirconia fine powder should be made by melting electrofusion pipe fittings with zirconia as the primary component, calcium hydroxide (or yttrium oxide, magnesia) as a thickener, and crushing, grinding, and hollowing the zirconia once it has cooled. Ball bricks have strong corrosion resistance in acid resistance and neutral slag, making them comparable to acid refractory materials. Zirconia Hollow Ball Brick can withstand an oxidizing environment.

Products Application

Zirconia hollow ball bricks offer great chemical stability, high purity, and outstanding thermal insulation performance. They are mostly employed in fused silica furnace linings, intermediate frequency induction furnaces of hard alloys, and working linings or heat insulation linings of machinery with an operating temperature above 2000°C.
The brick is very resistant to high temperatures, chemical corrosion, oxidation, wear, and has a significant coefficient of thermal expansion. In the refractory industry and special ceramics, it has developed into a significant material that cannot be disregarded.
It is a high-performing heat-insulating refractory material. The temperature for safe use is 2200 ° C. It serves as a high-temperature lining material for thermal equipment in the petrochemical, metallurgical, and electronics industries.
