The primary constituent of nano aerogel insulation felt is silica, derived from silica aerogel composite fiber. There is a lot of surface area-up to 800-1000 m^2, and 80–99.8% porosity. The density is just 2.75 times that of air, the hole size is between 50 and 80 nm, and the thermal conductivity is only 0.015 w/m.k (at 25 °C). It can be used for a lot of things.
