Alkali resistant castables are aluminum silicate acidic refractory castables that can resist corrosion by alkali metal oxides (such as K2O and Na2O). A crusting and corrosion-resistant protective layer is formed on the surface at a temperature of 1250°C. Alkali resistant castables are made of aluminum silicate materials as refractory aggregates and powders, and aluminate cement and admixtures. This type of castable is divided into two types: heavy and light.

It has good high temperature performance and alkali corrosion resistance. It is a mixture composed of refractory aggregate, binder aggregate, binder and alkali resistant agent. It is composed of pores.

Ratio points, if it is greater than 45%, it is a light alkali-resistant castable, and if it is less than 45%, it is a heavy alkali-resistant castable.

Products Application

Heavy alkali resistant castables are mainly used in the kiln tail, kiln head, preheater, discharge port, tuyere and other parts of roasted alumina rotary and cement rotary kilns.
Light alkali-resistant refractory castables are mainly used for the preheater top cover, cylinder and kiln insulation lining of the above-mentioned rotary kiln.
Alkali-resistant refractory castables can also be used in industrial furnaces with alkali corrosion in steel, non-ferrous metals, glass, machinery, petrochemical and other industries.
