Products Description
Brown fused alumina special composition of this angular miner- al makes it extremely stable.It is also both hard and tough.Brown fused corundum is primarily used as a blasting medium and in flooring. It belongs to the group of fused alumina.It is a refractory material and abrasive made of bauxite as the main raw material, which is melted at high temperature in an electric arc furnace and then cooled and crystallized. Because of its brown color, it is called brown corundum.
The main component of it is aluminum oxide (Al2O3), which usually contains more than 95%, and also contains a small amount of impurities such as iron oxide, silicon oxide and titanium oxide.

Products Production Process
1. Raw material preparation: Select high-quality bauxite, iron filings and anthracite.
2. High-temperature melting: The raw materials are melted at high temperature in an electric arc furnace, and the melting temperature can reach above 2000°C.
3. Cooling and crystallization: The molten liquid alumina is cooled and crystallized to form brown corundum blocks.
4. Crushing and screening: The cooled brown corundum blocks are crushed and screened to obtain brown corundum particles of different sizes.
Products Feature
1. High hardness: The Mohs hardness of brown fused alumina is 9, second only to diamond and silicon carbide, and has excellent hardness and wear resistance.
2. High refractoriness: The refractoriness of brown corundum can reach above 1900°C, and it has good high temperature resistance.
3. Good toughness: Compared with other abrasives, brown corundum has better toughness and is not easy to break.
4. Chemical stability: It is not easy to react with acids and alkalis at high temperatures and has good chemical stability.
5. Thermal conductivity: It has good thermal conductivity, which is conducive to heat dissipation and maintaining processing stability.

1. Abrasive: Brown fused alumina is a commonly used abrasive material, used to make grinding tools such as grinding wheels, sandpaper, sanding belts, cutting discs, etc., suitable for grinding and polishing materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and cast iron.
2. Refractory materials: used to make refractory products such as high-temperature furnace linings, furnace bottoms, spray gun bricks, etc., widely used in high-temperature industries such as steel, non-ferrous metals, and glass.
3. Sandblasting materials: used for cleaning and polishing surfaces of metals, glass, ceramics, etc.
4. Paint fillers: used for wear-resistant floor coatings, refractory coatings, etc., to improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the coating.
