Products Description
What is tabular alumina ?
Tabular alumina is a sintered alpha-alumina material produced by heating high-purity alumina powder at temperatures above 1900°C without any sintering aids.
It has a fully crystallized structure, low porosity, and excellent thermal shock resistance, making it ideal for high-temperature applications.
Unlike fused alumina, tabular alumina offers high refractoriness, superior corrosion resistance, and stable performance even under aggressive environments such as steel, glass, and cement kilns.

Products Production Process
1. Raw material preparation: High-purity alumina powder is selected as the raw material.
2. Molding: The alumina powder is pressed and molded to form a blank of a certain shape.
3. High-temperature sintering: The formed blank is sintered in a high-temperature environment above 1800°C to densify it and form tabular corundum
4. Cooling and processing: The sintered tabular corundum blank is cooled and then further processed as needed, such as cutting, grinding, etc.
Applications of Tabular Alumina
Tabular alumina is widely used as a raw material in advanced refractory and ceramic products such as:
High-alumina castables and low cement castables
Refractory preforms and alumina crucibles
Ceramic rollers and kiln furniture
Wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant linings
Sliding gate plates and ladle nozzles
Its high thermal conductivity and mechanical strength make it a preferred choice for industries requiring reliability and consistency at high temperatures.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: What is the difference between tabular alumina and fused alumina?
A1: Tabular alumina is sintered without additives, giving it better thermal shock resistance and purity, while fused alumina has higher density but may contain glassy phases.
Q2: What sizes are available?
A2: Standard grain sizes include 0–1 mm, 1–3 mm, 3–6 mm, and 6–10 mm. Custom sizes are available upon request.
Q3: Can Topower Refractory provide small trial quantities?
A3: Yes, small sample orders (≤100 kg) are available for testing or R&D use.
Q4: How can I get a quote?
