Description

 

Sintered zirconia-mullite brick is a general sintered AZS product containing zircon. The firing temperature determines that the zircon particles are completely decomposed, the surface is slightly decomposed or not decomposed at all. Sintered zirconium mullite refractory has good high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance. But in the temperature range of ZrO2 phase transition, it is sensitive to thermal shock. Sintered zirconium mullite bricks use industrial alumina and zircon as raw materials, and sintered zirconium mullite bricks are made by reaction sintering. Because the reaction and sintering are carried out at the same time, it is difficult to control the process. Usually, It is kept at 1450°C for densification during firing, and then heated to 1600°C for reaction.

- Al2O3: 30-45%
- ZrO2: 45-70%
- SiO2: 15-30%
- Bulk Density: 3.0-3.4 g/cm3
- Refractoriness: 1750-1850℃
- Thermal Conductivity: 1.0-1.8 W/m*K

Application

 

The sintered zirconia-mullite brick is suitable to construction superstructures of various glass furnaces, such as the breastwall, perforated checker, crowns bricks, inspection hole bricks etc. In the real hearth, tapping groove and other parts of the steel rolling heating furnace, instead of the current use of refractory bricks and water-cooled cast iron, the use effect is better, and significant economic benefits have been achieved.

Productive Process

1.Raw material quality control including physical and chemical testing.           
2.Crushing and grinding of bulk raw materials.
3. According to customer data sheet required to mixing Raw Material.
Pressing or shaping the green brick depend on different raw material and brick shape.
4.Dry the bricks at dryer kiln.
5.Put the bricks into the tunnel kiln to burning by higher temp from 1300-1800 deg.
6.The quality control department will inspect the finished refractory bricks random.
