Zirconia Insert

Zirconia insert is basically used to control the flow of steel from tunders to continuous casting equipment. Different types of zirconia nozzle inserts include alumina, alumina carbon, and zirconia alumina nozzles, which are manufactured for single to multiple casting applications. Alumina carbon zirconia inserts are made by isostatic pressure process. Compared with other nozzles, it has better performance.

Zirconia insert is a kind of refractory material, mainly made of zirconia, with high refractory temperature, good oxidation resistance and chemical corrosion resistance. The main characteristics of the material are high refractory temperature, refractory temperature up to 2000℃, with oxidation resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and thermal stability, prolong the service life, wear resistance is also very good. In addition, the material has low density, low gas volume and good electrical isolation properties, making it ideal for use as a refractory insert. In addition, zirconia can also be used as a refractory in melting furnaces because of its high refractory temperature.

Zirconia insert is frequently used in industries such as high-erosion steel casting, small billet CCS, PD, special alloy melting, metal powder sintering, synthetic crystals, and devices for controlling the flow of steel liquid at the bottom of ladles.
