Description

Graphite clay bricks are refractory bricks made from clay clinker, combined clay and graphite powder. The production process is similar to that of clay bricks, except that the green brick is placed in a sagger filled with carbon particles for firing.

Productive Process
Productive process

The first step is to prepare high-quality raw materials.
When choosing natural graphite or artificial graphite, you need to check its composition ratio, impurity content and other quality indicators. Only high-quality graphite raw materials can be sintered to produce graphite brick with excellent performance. The quality of natural graphite refers to national standards, and the formula and ingredient ratio of artificial graphite need to be strictly controlled.
The second step is to crush the graphite
generally to a fineness of more than 45 mesh. Crushing should be uniform, and fine particle size is beneficial to subsequent sintering, while coarse particles will affect the sintering quality. Therefore, after crushing, it is necessary to check the particle size distribution of graphite powder to see if it meets the standards.


The third step is to mix the ingredients according to the designed formula.
The proportions of various raw materials directly affect the performance of graphite brick, so they must be measured and mixed in strict accordance with the prescribed proportions. The mixing must be uniform and consistent, and all indicators of the mixture must be checked.
The fourth step is to press the mixture into shape.
Use mechanical pressure forming or mold forming, and control the pressure parameters and time. After molding, drying should be carried out to remove the liquid in the mixture. At the same time, it should not be dried too fast to cause cracking of the product. The evenly mixed material is shaped by a press forming machine to make graphite bricks of standard sizes. Molding requires a certain amount of time and pressure to ensure the density, uniformity and strength of the graphite carbon bricks.


The fifth step is sintering
Sintering is one of the most important steps in the process of making graphite carbon bricks. By heating, the material has a tight structure, high crystallinity, and high load-bearing capacity. Sintering time and temperature need to be determined through trial and error to ensure that the final product achieves the desired effect. The sintering effect should be checked before the end of the session. Incomplete sintering will affect the mechanical properties.
The last step is inspection and packaging:
after the product is cooled, cutting, polishing and other surface treatments are performed to meet the requirements of profiling and appearance quality. Conduct quality inspections on the finished graphite bricks to ensure they meet relevant standards and requirements. The graphite carbon bricks are then packaged and sealed for transportation to construction sites or other places of use.
