Alumina SIC Brick
Description
Alumina SIC Brick is a high-performance refractory material, mainly made of alumina (Al2O3) and silicon carbide (SiC) as the main components, combined with other refractory raw materials.
Features
1.High temperature resistance:
Alumina SIC Brick can remain stable in high temperature environments above 1600°C without softening or deforming, making them suitable for extremely high temperature operating environments.
2.High strength and anti-wear properties:
The addition of silicon carbide makes the bricks have high hardness and wear resistance, and can withstand mechanical wear at high temperatures.
3.Thermal shock resistance:
It has excellent thermal shock resistance and can withstand rapid temperature changes without cracking or damage.
4.Antioxidant properties:
The chemical stability of silicon carbide and aluminum oxide gives the brick good anti-oxidation properties and remains stable even in oxidizing atmospheres.
5.Chemical resistance:
It has strong resistance to acidic and alkaline slag and metal liquids, and is suitable for highly corrosive environments.

Production Process
1.Raw material preparation:Choose high-purity alumina powder and silicon carbide powder as the main raw materials.
2.Ingredients and Mixing:Mix alumina powder and silicon carbide powder in a certain proportion, and add appropriate amounts of binders and additives to improve the performance of the bricks.
3.forming:The mixture is loaded into a mold and made into bricks through dry pressing, isostatic pressing or extrusion.
4.dry:The formed bricks are dried to remove excess moisture. The drying process should be uniform to avoid cracking of the bricks.
5.sintering:The sintering process is carried out in a high-temperature kiln, usually at a high temperature of 1500°C to 1800°C, to ensure the density and stability of Alumina SIC Brick.
6.cool down:After sintering, the bricks need to be gradually cooled to avoid cracks and deformation caused by rapid cooling and rapid heating.
7.Quality inspection:Conduct quality inspection of sintered aluminum silicon carbide bricks, including appearance inspection, dimensional measurement, and physical performance testing (such as compressive strength, abrasion resistance, thermal shock stability, etc.).

Products Application
Alumina SIC Brick continuously form a protective layer during use, do not peel or break, and their service life is significantly extended. It is widely used at the kiln exit, safety zone and upper transition zone, and is the best choice for alumina bricks in rotary kilns.
